Prophetic Prints
by Kathryn Scaldwell

As Kathryn's parents, naturally we are very biased and naturally we are going to say how wonderful and talented she is, and that you should all buy her paintings! However, it is actually true that she is amazingly talented, and that her paintings carry a real anointing.

Before she had even finished her A Levels (one of which was in Art), she had decided that she wanted to go to the School of Ministry in Toronto. So, having worked for 6 months to get the money (and having received many financial gifts) she left for Toronto in March 2003. The six months there (and in Brazil on her outreach) were a life-changing time. Kathryn had always been an artist, but what also emerged from her time in Toronto was a gifting in the area of prophetic music and worship. So when she returned from Toronto she asked if we could buy her a guitar for Christmas, which we did. She then taught herself how to play the guitar, never having had any music or guitar-playing lessons!

When she returned from Toronto she started work with Riverside Church in Hoddesdon as a pastoral assistant. During that time she was also helped in the development of her guitar-playing skills and she started to move into leading worship in the church.

After working for a year in Hoddesdon, she then left to attend the Lost Glory School of Worship at Folly's End Church in Croydon. This is a school of the arts, focused on claiming back the arts for the kingdom of God. It was during her time here that her painting skills developed into a strong prophetic anointing. In parallel with her painting, a hitherto completely hidden talent for song-writing emerged and she started writing prophetic songs about her relationship with God as Father. Jeremy Sinnott, Senior Worship Pastor in Toronto, once described her songs as beautiful ballads expressing the realities of our journey with God, and he said that nobody writes songs like she does. At the Lost Glory School it was prophesied over Kathryn that her songs would be used by Father to save people's lives! Her heart's desire is one day to be able to record the songs that God has given her onto a CD.

It was also during the time at Folly's End that Kathryn's paintings started to develop a unique prophetic edge, powerfully expressing the Father Heart of God. She completed 2 large paintings of the 'heart of God', one of which is now on the wall of Riverside Church in Hoddesdon and the other is in the main hall of Hemel Hempstead Community Church (you can see copies of the latter of these 2 on the website).

Having completed a one-year foundational art qualification, she then moved to Bath, where she now lives. Over the last 2 years her paintings have developed into her own unique style, all of which display different facets of the Father Heart of God.

Kathryn's desire is to have her own studio to display and sell her artwork, and to be able to do that full-time. She also loves to travel with us when we are doing schools and conferences, so that she can lead worship and also so that she can paint prophetically during the schools and conferences.

So, we strongly recommend Kathryn to you!  We want to see her vision of a studio fulfilled. We also want to see her CD recorded and released one day! We believe that her paintings will bless you and will speak Father's heart to you.
