Experiencing Father's Love - A
School
24 – 30 October 2010 Ballycastle,
County Antrim, Northern Ireland
WHAT IS THE PROGRAMME FOR THE WEEK?
The school will start on the Sunday evening at 7.30pm and will run for six days, finishing on the Saturday afternoon. The school will be full-time for that period, with morning, afternoon and evening sessions.
The school will consist of a combination of plenary teaching sessions, prayer ministry sessions and times of supervised soaking ministry sessions. As already stated, each school will be an intensive week and will require commitment from all participants. This will not be a conference-style format, where you can opt in and out of sessions.
What is the difference between a school and a conference? Conferences are, by their very nature, short. They are usually over a weekend, squeezed into a busy lifestyle. They can provide a taster, an experience, but then we are back into our usual routine. The real advantage of the schools is that they give you the chance to withdraw from the pressures and demands of daily life for a whole week, and to immerse yourself totally in an environment where Father can meet with you, talk to you and minister to you. Taking a whole week to sit under anointed teaching, receive personal ministry and simply spend quality time with God, is an opportunity not to be missed. It will bring real breakthrough and transformation in your life.
This is why our schools have limited numbers of participants, in order to ensure a safe, intimate environment which a large-audience event cannot so easily provide. Coming to the school will be more like going to a health farm than attending a conference – but it is your spiritual health that will be restored, nurtured, and reinvigorated!
The school has 2 primary aims:
- 1. to provide all participants with a thorough biblical grounding in the revelation of the Father Heart of God. All participants will therefore leave the school better equipped to understand and explain to others the foundational nature and importance of the Father Heart of God.
- for you to be able to really experience Father’s love for yourself, and to come into your own personal revelation of who Father God is – to you personally. Father does not want you to just know about Him, He wants you to know Him. He does not want an intellectual or theological relationship with you - He wants an intimate personal relationship with you. For that to happen, He needs to reveal Himself and His heart to you. He needs you to let the walls down and come into His arms. So this will not be a school in a traditional sense, where you will receive lots of head-knowledge. It is a school of the heart, where your heart will be touched, melted, healed and restored!!
ACCOMMODATION AND FEES
The “Experiencing Father’s Love” school will be hosted by the Corrymeela Community at its peace centre in Ballycastle. This Christian community has been involved in pioneering peace and reconciliation since 1965 and is still at the forefront of this practice. The unique location combines breathtaking scenery with a place soaked in prayer for over 40 years. We believe that this venue will be a significant backdrop in nurturing open-ness to the Father Heart Message. The Corrymeela centre can accommodate up to 80 residents in attractive, recently modernised accommodation, which includes single, twin, 3-bed and 4-bed rooms.
We hope that as many participants as possible will attend the school on a residential basis.
The residential fee will be £400 per person or £725 per married couple, to cover accommodation; breakfast, lunch and evening meal (starting with dinner on Sunday evening and finishing with lunch on Saturday); all teas, coffees and soft drinks; all teaching sessions; and school administration costs, including speaker costs and airfares. Last but not least, as part of FatherHeart Ministries, we choose to make a 'tithe' payment from the income from every school to James & Denise Jordan in New Zealand, to honour them as the leaders and spiritual parents of this ministry.
For participants who do not wish to stay at the Corrymeela Centre, the non-residential fee will be £250 per person or £450 per married couple. This excludes B&B, but includes lunch and evening meals from Monday lunch to Saturday lunch.
On 24th and 30th October we hope to arrange transport for participants coming from outside Ireland between the point of arrival/departure (airport, ferry terminal) and the Corrymeela Centre. Please note that we cannot provide transport for non-residents between their accommodation and the Corrymeela Centre on a daily basis during the school.
Our heart’s desire is that whoever wants to come should be able to attend such a school, and that finance will never become a barrier. Therefore we are always happy to discuss individual cases and, if necessary, to look at other payment schemes and options, in order to make the schools accessible to all. If finance is an issue, please contact us.
An offering will also be taken at the school. This offering will be dedicated entirely to financing similar schools in Eastern European countries where churches and individual participants do not have the financial resources to meet the full cost of the schools.
